私は今出いまでかけるところです。　I’m about to leave home.

[Past tense + ところ　＝　have just done something]

今仕事しごとが終おわったところです。　I’ve just done my work now.

[Continuous form + ところ　＝　be doing something right now]

彼は今向むかっているところです。　He is heading here right now.
